Greetings, beloved September... a month that evokes either a sense of longing for the swiftly passing summer or anticipation for fresh starts.
How are you sensing the energy of September?
For me, each day represents a fresh start, a new beginning filled with positive energy. However, when a new month begins, I make a conscious effort to make it unique, to establish the mood and set my intentions, to spread love and experience love.
At the beginning of this month, I began my visit to tmy favorite chateau in Dordogne. Having visited a few times in the past, I decided to bring my watercolors along this time and capture the charm and vitality of the location through sketches.
I spent the entire day there! Or perhaps I should say in the garden... the French garden of Château Hautefort is truly breathtaking and inspiring.
Some weeks earlier, as I was going through the photos I had taken there previously, I made the choice to produce a series of two paintings that would capture the spirit of the chateau and its beautiful garden, along with the serene village meditation garden.
To celebrate the beauty, the feminine energy of this place, to inspire you to keep chasing your wildest dreams... to slow down as well and enjoy the simple things of life...
The initial painting takes inspiration from a small garden located in the center of the village. This garden serves as a serene meditation spot, adorned with aging roses. As a subtle nod, I included a depiction of the Dordogne river in the background.
I love how dreamy this painting look and how it invites to take time for yourself...
The second painting depicts the chateau and its magnificent garden, once more featuring the old roses.
