This painting is a tribute to Takaya the lone wolf who once lived on the wild coast of Vancouver Island.
In this landscape, I wanted to capture the vastness of his world, the Pacific shoreline, the breath of the wind, the quiet power of untouched nature.
 
Takaya moves through this space with presence and calm, as if the ocean itself is listening to him walk.
But this painting is not only about a wolf. It is about something more universal.
 
It speaks to the part of us that has known solitude…and discovered that it can also be a place of strength. It speaks to those who walk their own path, who feel deeply connected to nature, freedom, and inner truth.
To those who understand that love is not always possession, but something far wider, quieter, and more infinite.
