Naïma is a French oil painter inspired by the wild and sacred feminine, expressing the beauty of women and nature through her art.

She moves like water,

feels like the wind through wild flowers...

The Origins of the Venusian Woman

The term Venusian comes from Venus, the Roman goddess of love, beauty, and desire, worshipped in ancient Rome.

She is the equivalent of Aphrodite in ancient Greece, long associated with sensuality, fertility, and the creative power of feminine energy.

Historically, the word Venusian simply meant “relating to Venus”, whether the goddess or the planet.

The expression “Venusian woman”, however, is a modern interpretation.

It has emerged through contemporary spiritual and artistic movements to describe a woman who reconnects with the qualities traditionally associated with Venus which are love, beauty, sensuality, and emotional depth.

What Is a Venusian Woman?

The Venusian woman carries this ancient energy as something that lives within her.

She is not defined by perfection, but by presence.

She is:

  • Soft, yet deeply powerful

  • Sensual, yet grounded

  • Emotional, yet wise

  • Wild, yet rooted in love

"To be Venusian is not to become someone else. It is simply to return to yourself. To your feminine energy that maybe you hide for years. Women have carried countless traumas across the centuries, shaping us and filling us with false ideas of who we are. Yet deep within, we know the truth! It is in that knowing I believe that we remember, and we return to our true essence... our Venusian Woman.” Naïma Namaste

A Return to the Feminine Body

In a world that has taught women to harden, to push, to prove…the Venusian woman chooses another path. She slows down. She listens. She feels. She is not ashamed. She is not small. She is simply herself.

She allows her body to lead again through intuition, pleasure, and inner knowing.

This is where her magnetism is born. Not from effort, but from alignment.

The Venusian Energy in Art

The Venusian woman has always lived through art. From ancient myths to paintings across centuries, artists have tried to capture this mysterious feminine presence ... both sensual and sacred.

One of the most iconic representations and my favorite is The Birth of Venus by Sandro Botticelli, where the feminine emerges from the sea...soft, radiant, and powerful in her vulnerability.

This same energy continues to inspire artists today, in new and personal ways.

A Venusian Presence in My Paintings

In my own work, this energy often appears without being named.

In “Flower Moon”, a feminine portrait blending with flowers in soft pastel tones that I created out of intuition, I explore a very soft and sensual form of beauty, one that feels deeply connected to sacred feminine, nature, softness, and self love.

In “Au clair de lune”, my first mermaid painting, the connection is different, yet familiar. Though the composition is its own, it carries an echo of the same energy found in The Birth of Venus, a woman emerging from water, suspended between worlds, sensual and free. I incorporated elements I collaged like shells, rose petals from my own roses in my garden and soo many treasures to look at...

Both paintings reflect what I see as Venusian energy: It is not just an image, but an emotion. A remembrance of the feminine in her many forms.

Why So Many Women Are Searching for This

More and more women are feeling the call to reconnect with their feminine essence.

"I feel it is a instinct to reconnect with our true self... soft and wild, emotional, sensual, nurturing, loving, caring, deeply connected to the rhythms of mother Earth and the moon". Naïma Namaste

The Venusian woman represents:

  • healing

  • softness as strength

  • emotional freedom

  • a return to authenticity

For the Woman Reading This

Maybe you feel it too. The desire to slow down. To create. To feel more. To live from your heart instead of your mind. Then you already carry her within you.

Bringing my art in your sacred space

My paintings are an exploration of this energy, of women who are both wild and soft, grounded and free, human and deeply connected to something sacred.
