How Breath of Life came to life…
If you know me, you know that every year I try to escape to Paris...once or twice, to lose myself in museums, stroll along the quais de la Seine, and simply daydream.
I find so much inspiration in the beauty that surrounds me.
I often think about the Impressionist painters who walked those same streets years before, driven by the same passion that moves me today.
So...after my recent visit to Le Louvre in Paris (summer 2025) , I was profoundly moved by one specific sculpture...
Standing before the delicate “Psyche Revived by Cupid’s Kiss” statue, I stopped and felt a deep inspiration...the beautiful interplay of love and life spoke directly to my soul while looking at it.
In the afternoon, wandering through the Tuileries Gardens afterwards, I soaked in the harmony of nature, light, and space, which perfectly complemented the museum’s elegance.
For me, it’s all about emotion...about letting everything come to me naturally, absorbing the atmosphere, and allowing the environment to inspire me.
My journey continued at the Dior Gallery the next morning, where the exhibition’s wild and floral themes captivated me.
The vivid energy, the sense of freedom and abundance, sparked the idea to incorporate a large floral element into “Breathe of Life”, a symbol of rebirth, love, and light.
This painting became a reflection of all these experiences: the intimacy of love, the grace of nature, and the resilient power of love and flowers.
Through soft, fluid strokes and vibrant floral motifs, I wanted to convey a message that love prevails and beauty always wins, even in the most complex moments of life.
