The Spirit of the Wolf: Freedom, Instinct & Our Connection to the Wild
Wolves have been part of my inner world for as long as I can remember. I have always been drawn to their independence, their deep bonds, and the way they belong so completely to the natural world.
Over the years, my journeys in search of wolves have become an important part of my artistic path. Seeing these animals in their natural habitat changed the way I understood them — not simply as beautiful creatures to observe, but as a reminder of a way of being that feels increasingly distant from modern life.
The wolf embodies qualities that I deeply admire: the courage to follow instinct, the freedom to walk an unconventional path, the strength to endure, and the ability to remain connected to something greater than oneself.
These are the feelings I try to bring to my paintings.
Some of my wolves appear quiet and contemplative, their gaze holding a sense of mystery and gentleness. Others carry a more powerful, untamed presence. Through each one, I explore the many expressions of wildness — from vulnerability and solitude to resilience, connection, and freedom.
For me, painting wolves is also a way of remembering our relationship with nature. Beneath the noise and expectations of everyday life, there is a part of us that still longs for open spaces, silence, and the freedom to listen to our own inner voice.
