The Story Behind the Painting
This painting is a celebration of the quiet resilience that allows us to bloom, even after our darkest moments.
At the heart of the bouquet, I painted one of my favourite flowers, the Japanese poppy, a symbol of fleeting beauty and the preciousness of the present moment. Soft pastel roses surround it, bringing tenderness and romance, while delicate moths drift among the blooms, drawn towards the flowers and the luminous moon ... symbols of transformation, intuition and the courage to follow the light.
For the vase, I incorporated real shells collected from a beach near my home in southwest France and from Florida, bringing a little piece of the ocean into this dreamlike floral composition. I love how they connect two worlds that continually inspire me: the garden and the sea, the earth and the water, the tangible and the dreamlike.
Through gentle pinks, luminous pastels and delicate details, I wanted to create a world that feels soft, peaceful and full of hope... a reminder that even after difficult seasons, we can find the courage to open our hearts and bloom again.
