The Symbolism of the Feather
For many Native American Nations, feathers are held in deep respect and symbolize honor, courage, wisdom, strength, and a sacred connection to the natural world. Hawk and eagle feathers, in particular, are often regarded as symbols of vision, resilience, and spiritual guidance.
Because traditions vary among Nations, no single meaning can represent them all. What they share is a profound respect for these birds and the feathers they leave behind.
As collecting the feathers of many wild birds is protected by law in numerous countries, I chose instead to honor their beauty through watercolor. Each feather I paint is an original, one-of-a-kind artwork; a tribute to these magnificent birds and the symbolism they inspire, without taking anything from nature.
Every painting is created by hand with care and intention, waiting to find the collector with whom it is meant to resonate.

About the Artist
Naïma Namaste is a French contemporary artist working in Contemporary Symbolic Realism. Through intuitive oil painting, she explores the feminine journey; an exploration of transformation, intuition, freedom, and the quiet strength that emerges from within.
Inspired by symbolism, nature, and the unseen emotional world, Naïma creates luminous, atmospheric paintings where horses, butterflies, birds, flowers, and the feminine figure become metaphors for becoming, resilience, hope, and inner freedom.
