This summer, during Bozeman’s Art Walks 2025, you are invited to discover the soul of the American wilderness through the eyes of a French artist who fell deeply in love with it.
Naïma, a painter based in the South of France, presents “A Wild Romance”, a powerful collection of four original artworks born from a life-changing journey to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. The exhibit will be hosted at the historic Baxter Hotel, one of the featured stops of Art Walks, which take place on the second Friday of each month from June through September, 6–8 PM.
The Story Behind the Art: A Wild Love for the American West
My love for Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons began 14 years ago, in 2011, when my husband and I set off on a road trip across the USA to discover the raw beauty of the wilderness. Since I was a child, I had dreamed of seeing a wild wolf and a bear in their natural habitat.
My dream was about to come true and never I thought I would be touched and forever changed after this wild summer!
What Naïma experienced over those two weeks...camping under the stars... waking to the sounds of wolves, seeing Grizzly 399 and her cubs near Colter Bay, and witnessing golden light dance over the mountain ranges left a deep imprint on her soul.
Years later, now a professional artist, she has channeled these memories into a poetic, symbolic series painted from her studio in France.
Each artwork is created with oils and mixed media, 50x50cm, and carries the emotion, reverence, and wild freedom of the landscapes that inspired them.
The time I spent in these extraordinary places is forever etched in my heart because I learnt so much of this fragile nature and how it must be protected.
Through this series of paintings, I hope to share the emotions and memories that were born from that experience. My heart belongs to these mountains, forests and meadows and I truly hope these artworks bring those same beautiful memories back to you.

This painting honors the legendary Grizzly 399, symbol of feminine strength and protection. This beautiful portrait of her captures the sacred balance between power and gentleness.

A majestic eagle soars above the Teton range, where the sky meets the peaks during golden hour. This piece evokes freedom, vision, and the sacred bond between earth and spirit.
Made in France, Inspired by the American Wild
Though based in France, Naïma’s heart remains deeply connected to the wild places she once explored. Each painting is a portal, a way to bring the untamed beauty of Yellowstone and the Tetons into your home.
These works are available for purchase during the Art Walks, and collectors are encouraged to connect early as the pieces are original and one-of-a-kind.

Art Walks occur on the second Friday of the month June through September from 6 to 8 PM at art galleries and businesses downtown. Over 35 businesses and galleries feature artists’ openings and receptions during the event!
